ARTIFACT: Rare 1930's Civilian Conservation Corps Camp #2722 Palisades shoulder patch from Mount Vernon, Iowa. The red wool felt patch shows an image of the state of Iowa embroidered in yellow with a sun in the center and an evergreen rising up on the left side. Positioned diagonally across the patch it reads: "2722 PALISADES".

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 2-1/2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered wool felt, cotton/polyester/silk thread, gauze backing

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Civilian Conservation Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MFJX15 LADEX9/15 SADEX08/20

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch shows minor to moderate use and storage wear/soiling and a small spot of fading/sun at bottom right (see photo), overall very fine condition.
