ARTIFACT: Rare 1880's UPEC, Portuguese Union of the State of California, member lapel stud. The center shows a ship inside a blue enameled oval and above crossed Portugal and United States flags, surrounding reads: "U.CeP", "U.P.E.C." in blue enameled detail.

VINTAGE: Circa 1880's

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt bronze, enamel

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback and stabilizer pin

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fraternal society collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEZ16 LAAEX10/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The lapel shows minor to moderate surface wear, small spots of verdigris on reverse, some of the enameled and gilt plated details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
