ARTIFACT: Beautiful gold front New York City presentation badge from the members of the 109th Precinct to Patrolman Herb Meyers for his retirement in 1948. The small, shield shaped badge shows the State Seal of NY City and above it reads: "CITY OF NEW YORK POLICE" and below a rectangle cut out shows the numbers: "13656". The outer edge features a nice scroll embellishment and the reverse is engraved: "109 PCT. TO PTL. HERB MEYER 1948".

VINTAGE: Circa 1948

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" x 1"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold front, brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in locking swivel catch
