ARTIFACT: This is a nice World War I United States War Worker service lapel pin. The pin is a five-pointed star with fine etching and its center is enameled in a beautiful cobalt blue. It was made by Whitehead & Hoag.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 9/16" in height and 5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Sleeve; screw post attached to disc backing; stabilization post.

MARKINGS: WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK NJ on backing; PAT. APPL'D FOR on reverse of badge.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWI war worker collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX03 LBIX11/10 SLCDX9/13 SCDX09/10/22

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin has light wear and tarnish and some oxidation on the backing.
