ARTIFACT:
This is a nice 1914 Firemen's Day parade ribbon from Stonington, Connecticut. The Pioneer Hook and Ladder Company hosted the event and visiting companies from Westerly and Wakefield Rhode Island are referenced on the ribbon. The upper medallion on the ribbon shows a print of an old fire engine and the medallion at the bottom commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Stonington. There is also a nice celluloid pin at the center of the ribbon showing firefighting equipment.

Circa 1914.

Approximately 7" height and 2-5/16" width.

Plated brass, brass, celluloid, printed silk ribbon.

Horizontal safety-style pin.
