ARTIFACT:
This is a great New York City lieutenant police officer grouping with a 14 karat gold Faithful Service medal awarded to J. F. Fitzgerald. The grouping spans from the 1940s to at least the 1970s, and includes a 14 karat gold Faithful Service medal, an Honor Legion medal by Dieges & Clust, a bronze NYC Police Department Athletic Club medal by Dieges & Clust, a Sons of the American Revolution medal, a Lieutenants' Benevolent Association badge by Dieges & Clust, three NYC lieutenant badges (one with leather wallet, one with strap, one with six enameled bars on leather strap), two uniform pins and two books on rules and regulations. All of the lieutenant badges were seconds and not department-issued.

Circa 1940s-1970s.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Faithful Service medal: 14 karat gold and enamel with silk ribbon; Honor Legion medal: gold-plated and enameled with silk ribbon; PD Athletic Club medal: bronze with silk ribbon. All others are plated brass, some with enamel.
