ARTIFACT: This is a near mint World War II Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) War Training Service (WTS) instructor wings badge. The WTS evolved out of the Civilian Pilot Training Program, which was necessarily upgraded after the Pearl Harbor attacks. The wings show a Native American Indian head motif at center.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in height and 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: PAT. PEND. STERLING.
