ARTIFACT: This is a great "Battle of the Bulge" veteran purchase: an M1935 camouflage helmet sprayed with green and brown paint. The veteran who came by the helmet (Johnson) wrote his name on either side of the outside in pencil, and in these areas are some miniscule traces of silver suggesting that there are potentially SS Rune Decals beneath the camo paint. Inside the helmet are the initials of the original wearer whose identity we will never know: AB. The helmet no longer has its liner.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-1930s.

SIZE: Height: approximately 5-1/2"; head opening: 7" by 8-3/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Spray-painted steel.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: AB painted inside; Johnson written in pencil on either side of outside.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Nazi Germany collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCJJX13 LDBGEX8/13 SLADEJX3/14 SLIGEX6/16 SHJJX10/16

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): The helmet has seen some moderate wear; liner is not present.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
