At first a training organization, the SVR was formed in 1903 and is now a ceremonial part of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. The badge shows an eagle bearing and enameled SRV crest with the words FILO VETERANORUM (son of a veteran) on a banner overhead.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900's - 1910's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with C catch.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Veterans' Organization collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX99 LAAEX1/11 SAAEX12/20/23

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows light tarnishing concentrated in mostly one area with a few very small spots of oxidation and all enamel is intact.
