ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II United States Navy Electric Boat Co. (Elco) submarine badge. Begun in 1892, Elco manufactured several types of boats, including yachts, power boats and boats for the United States Coast Guard and Navy. The badge is in plated brass.

VINTAGE: Circa 1942.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height and 2-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX06 LAGEX12/11 SAGEX3/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some spots of light wear and minor oxidation.
