ARTIFACT:
This is a sterling distinctive insignia for the United States Army 305th Ordnance Battalion. This insignia reads MAINTAIN SERVICE and shows a bold yellow stripe across a red shield bearing five black circles.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
1-1/16" height and 1" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-plated sterling silver with red, yellow and black enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch.
