ARTIFACT: This is a near mint and unfired circa 1966 United States Navy ship Zippo lighter for the USS Kawashiwi AO-146. Launched December 11, 1954, the Kawashiwi was an oiler that served in South Vietnam between 1965 and 1967. This lighter was factory-engraved.

VINTAGE: Circa 1966.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" height and 1-1/2" width and 1/2" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass, painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Hinge.

MARKINGS: IIII ZIPPO ¨ IIII BRADFORD PA PAT. 2517191 on bottom.
