ARTIFACT: This is a mint and unfired circa 1960 United States Navy ship lighter for the USS Kawashiwi AO-146. Launched December 11, 1954, the Kawashiwi was an oiler that served in South Vietnam between 1965 and 1967. This lighter was made by Prince of Japan and is in its original cellophane wrapper. The lighter has a nice applied enamel insignia on one side.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width and 1/2" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: To be carried in pocket to light up your smokes.

MARKINGS: Prince Rocky Pat No. Prince Mfg Co. on bottom.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a 1960s USN ship lighter collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX14 LGEX5/14 SGEX05/26/22

CONDITION: 10 (Mint as new): The lighter is unfired and in mint condition (it is still in its original cellophane wrapper).
