ARTIFACT: This is a mint and unworn circa late 1960s United States Navy USS Holland (AS-32), a submarine tender. The Holland was launched January 19, 1963 at Pascagoula, Mississippi and was decommissioned on September 30, 1996. She provided vital support to the Polaris missile. The patch is Japanese-made by Ace novelty and reads WORLD'S GREATEST TENDER around its border.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: Ace Novelty BOX 1374 TOKYO JAPAN.
