ARTIFACT: This is a circa mid-late 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps 1101st Camp badge. The 1101st CC camp was called Thornton Camp, and was located at West Campton, New Hampshire. The workers at this camp worked primarily in the White Mountain National Forest. The badge is by Meyer, and reads C.C.C. above a lone painted pine tree.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-late 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin, saddle.

MARKINGS: N. S. MEYER NEW YORK, raised Meyer shield mark.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows some scattered small spots of light to medium wear.
