ARTIFACT: This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States 81st Infantry Division, aka "Wildcat". The insignia is a black cat against an olive drab background.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 7/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX12 LCCX11/12 SCCX2/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows little wear, mostly on reverse.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
