ARTIFACT: This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States 70th Infantry Division, also known as the "Trailblazers". The insignia is red and shows the blade of an ax with a pine tree and mountain in the distance.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 1E.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX12 LCCX11/12 SCCX10/18

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The DI has some light discoloration and a couple of small cracks in the enamel.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
