ARTIFACT: This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 1st Allied Airborne Army. The insignia shows a winged numeral one above two crossed swords.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX12 LFEX11/12 SFEX6/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows light wear and tarnish to the reverse only.
