ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa late 1940s shoulder patch for the United States Army Forces Europe, a successor to SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force). The blue patch is German-made and shows a flaming sword beneath a rainbow. The sword handle and border are embroidered in bullion.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 3-9/16" in height and 2-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads, cloth backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEX13 LFEX9/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows very little wear and only some minor tarnish to the bullion.
