ARTIFACT: Late 1940's United States Navy China Service Medal. The round medal is suspended from a yellow ribbon with a thin red stripe on either side. The front of the medallion depicts an embossed ship with sails billowing and is surrounded by the words: "CHINA SERVICE". The reverse of the medal features an eagle perched on an anchor with lovely detail and reads: "UNITED STATES NAVY FOR SERVICE"

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940's

SIZE: Approximately 1 5/8" X 1 ¼"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Ribbon and brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop in swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The service medal shows minor wear, light soiling to the ribbon, overall excellent condition.
