ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1930s "Empire Boys State" Convention police badge. Qualifying New York high school students are taught about leadership and government at Empire Boys State (and Empire Girls States) events, and the conventions are sponsored by the American Legion.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/16" in height and 1-11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. SBEX13 LAAEX5/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has only some small spots of wear, mostly to the reverse.
