ARTIFACT: This is a large World War II Caterpillar Club pin on its original card accompanied by its original envelope. The "Caterpillar Club" is a designation given to those servicemen who had successfully bailed out of a compromised aircraft by using a parachute.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Pin: approximately 3/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width; card: approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-5/8" in width; envelope: approximately 2" square.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver and black enamel; oaktag; paper.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: METAL ARTS CO. ROCH. N.Y. STERLING on pin; THE METAL ARTS CO. INC. ROCHESTER, N.Y. STERLING on card.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEJX10 LEFEX3/11 SEJJX2/12

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows very light wear only and the card and envelope have minor creasing.
