ARTIFACT: This is a large, rare and wonderful tinnie for Gautag Ost-Hannover 1939. The tinnie shows a Vokswagen at the top, at the time called a KdF-Wagen: the KdF stood for Kraft durch Freude (strength through joy). Volkswagen at the time was a fledgling Nazi-based automobile company (est. 1937). The tinnie also shows a ship and a cromlech beneath. It reads GAUTAG OST-HANNOVER 1939.

VINTAGE: Circa 1939.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Aluminum/white metal with painted areas, waxed felt backing.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Nazi Germany collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX12 LBDEX11/12 SBJJX10/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The tinnie shows only very light wear; glue on pin is delicate.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
