ARTIFACT: This is a large circa 1950-1952 United States Navy VP-4 Japanese-made jacket patch. The patch shows the sea god Neptune armed with a missile and a trident riding on the back of a turtle equipped with airplane wings.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950-1952.

SIZE: Approximately 5-5/8" in height and 5-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in silk/cotton/polyester threads with mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The patch shows some moderate wear and minor fading/discoloration.
