ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1900 badge for the Maryland College for Women in Lutherville, Maryland. The school, which replaced the Lutherville Female Seminary, was in existence from 1853 until just shy of its centennial, in 1952. It was founded by Rev. Dr. John Morris, Lutheran minister, professor, history d??vote, librarian and all-around man of learning. The badge has a nice scene of the school at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with a tongue-style C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some light wear and small spots of oxidation and has a nice patina.
