ARTIFACT: Large circa 1900's – 1910's Massachusetts State Police Weights and Measures Inspector hat badge by John Robbins Manufacturing Co. in Boston, Mass. The oval badge reads: "POLICE" in the center and surrounding reads: "WEIGHTS & MEASURES INSPECTOR". The reverse shows a nicely stamped maker's mark that reads: "JOHN ROBBINS MFG. CO. BOSTON, MASS".

VINTAGE: Circa 1900's

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 1 ¾"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Double screw posts with disc backings.

MARKINGS: "JOHN ROBBINS MFG. CO. BOSTON, MASS"

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear and much of the plating details remain intact.
