ARTIFACT: This is a Rare LARGE 1950's - 1960's United States Navy Mine Defense Laboratory Department of Defense Special Police Badge # 14 by Lavigne Miami. 

The USN Mine Defense Laboratory was known by this name from 1955 until 1972 when it became the Naval Coastal Systems Laboratory. The Facility is Located in Panama City Florida.

VINTAGE: 1950s - 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately: 3-1/8" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome plated nickel with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: DONALD LAVIGNE INC. MIAMI FLA.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCEP24 LAGEX06/02/24

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent+): The badge shows little to minor wear only. It is in excellent condition.
