ARTIFACT: This is a Korean War vintage United States Marine Corps jacket patch for VMF-223 (Marine Fighter Squadron 223), also known as the "Bulldogs". The squadron began flying their first jet, the Grumman F9F Panther, around the outbreak of the war. The patch is embroidered upon orange twill and has a boxing bulldog at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War era.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8" in height and 4-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Korean War era United States Marine Corps jacket patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MGEX14 LEGEX4/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows very little wear and some light creasing.
