ARTIFACT: This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 31st Infantry Regiment. The DI shows a polar bear to symbolize the 31st's service in Siberia. The DI reads PRO PATRIA (for country).

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 1-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LAJX10/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only very light wear.
