ARTIFACT:
This is a hardcover copy of "Aircraft Engines of the World 1946" by Paul H. Wilkinson. The book covers many engines from North America, Europe, Australia and the U.S.S.R in a two-page treatment with a black-and-white photograph facing a page of text. It also has several vintage advertisements from aircraft corporations. This volume is a revised version (4th edition) and has several black-and-white photographs and illustrations throughout. The book is inscribed on the first page by G. A. Hyland, most likely of the Westinghouse Aviation Gas Turbine (A.G.T.) Sales Division.
