ARTIFACT:
This is a 1941 "Bugle Notes", the U.S.M.A. US Military Academy West Point handbook for United States Army Cadets. This one has an inscription from Don to Bob, a soon-to-be cadet. The pocket-sized handbook contains vital information on customs, honor and flags to name a few topics, as well as some black and white photographs and a few blank "Memorandum" pages at the end. The color picture shown above lines the inside of both covers.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1941.
SIZE:
239 pages with some black and white photographs; approximately 4-11/16" in height x 3-5/16" in width x 1/2" in thickness.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Embossed cloth-covered cover, glossy paper.
ATTACHMENT:
Glued binding.

7+ (Very Fine+): The book shows some light wear to the cover; otherwise only minor aging with no rips, stains or writing (except for the inscription).
