ARTIFACT:
This is a great WWII USAAF Riker-mount-sized grouping to Service Pilot & eventual Captain William N. Hawkins, with some stunning CBI Theater made wings and patches.
Included in this grouping are the following artifacts:
1 beautiful, full size USAAF Service Pilot wing, CBI made in China.
1 stunning, shirt size USAAF Service Pilot wing, CBI made in China.
1 minty USAAF Shoulder Patch in Bullion, made in India.
1 Minty and amazingly detailed USAAF ATC Air Transport Command Shoulder Patch in Bullion, made in India, and an accompanying COA from Hawkins verifying the patch as his, and it being Indian-made.
2 WWII period Crew Passes of Hawkins'. WWII period photos of Hawkins in the cockpit.
1 of Hawkins' late WWII Dog Tags, a sterling ATC DI, a 2nd Lt. bar, a Captain rank insignia in sterling, an early WWII ribbon bar, and a 1 year overseas insignia patch, made in India, all originally Hawkins'.
Also included is some small correspondence between Hawkins' and the original collector who owned this grouping, and the envelope it was all sent to him in, in 1993.
