ARTIFACT: Great vintage early 1960's Volkswagen advertising lighter, made in Japan for Price Associates in Springfield, Massachusetts. The lighter features a brushed finish and a blue, enamel "VW" logo in the center. The underside of the lighter reads: "MADE IN JAPAN FOR PRICE ASSOCIATES SPRINGFIELD 3, MASS". This example is in unfired, near mint condition and was possibly owned by a member of the Volkswagen sales staff and came along with additional promotional items, see links below.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1960's

SIZE: Approximately 2" x 1-1/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brushed copper plated brass, enamel, wick

ATTACHMENT: Hinged lid

MARKINGS: "MADE IN JAPAN FOR PRICE ASSOCIATES SPRINGFIELD 3, MASS", "56"

ITEM NOTES: This is from an automobile collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJX15 LABEX12/15

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The lighter shows minor to moderate surface wear and in unfired, near mint condition.
