ARTIFACT: Great, salty late or just-post WWII United States Navy CPO hat badge by Vanguard, New York. This example is nice looking with a perfectly arched "USN" with gilt and silver-plated brass details, letters may be solid silver.

VINTAGE: Circa late or just-post WWII

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" x 1-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, silver-plated brass, silver (?)

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: "VANGUARD NY"

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine&emdash;Very Fine): The hat badge shows moderate to heavy wear, some of the gilt and silver plating details remain intact, great been there look!
