ARTIFACT: Great old 1890's Rowley, Massachusetts Chief of Police badge. The center of the badge features the State Seal of Massachusetts in nice high relief detail and surrounding it reads: "ROWLEY POLICE". The badge is topped with a spread winged, bowed head eagle with a scroll in its beak that reads: "CHIEF".

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 1-3/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Well worn plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with missing catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MIJX15 LCDEX9/15 STRVCJJX12/18

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear, the catch is missing, some of the original plating remains, overall nice patina.
