ARTIFACT:
This is a great Korean War United States Marine Corps G-1 jacket with Japanese-made insignia. The jacket has a faux fur collar and ribbed cuffs and waistband. Attached is a name patch for Sgt. Bob Bettis with a bullion EGA and border, two fully-embroidered patches (one for Marine Wing Service Squadron 1 and one Korea patch) and two patches on felt (for Headquarters Squadron 1 Air Wing). The left pocket contains a period pencil.

Circa Korean War.
SIZE:
Size 42.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Leather, silk lining, cotton waistband and cuffs, faux fur, fully embroidered patches with cotton/silk threads, patches on chenille/felt, metal zipper with brass Asian coin (for good luck), plastic buttons.
ATTACHMENT:
Zipper, buttons at collar and on pockets.
MARKINGS:
B.B. 3841 KOREA 51-53 B.B. written inside collar; 42 on tag inside pocket.

CONDITION:
6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The jacket has some spots of moderate wear, primarily along arm seams, and moderate soiling on one of the patches; zipper is damaged (see photograph above).
