ARTIFACT: Great, identified WWI United States Navy Chief Petty Officer Photograph RPPC (Real Photo Postcard) of William C. Hobson taken in Northampton, Scotland by Fred Urquhart of Dingwall. The photograph shows Hobson in uniform with a great CPO badge visible on his hat. The bottom of the RPPC is autographed in ink: "WILLIAM C. HOBSON", "U. S. NAVY" and stamped: "URQUHART, DINGWALL & GAIN". The reverse shows that it remains unposted and shows 'chief petty officer' written by hand in pencil.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/4" x 3-1/2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Photograph, paper, pencil, ink

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): The RPPC shows mild to moderate wear mostly around edges and light age discoloration, photograph is in remarkable condition.
