ARTIFACT:
This is a great World War II Ukrainian Nationalist propaganda leaflet in a beautiful frame. The image shows both a German and Russian plane flying over a farm in the Ukraine, eyeing the livestock hungrily. Meanwhile a patriotic Ukrainian farmer/soldier guards his farm and warns both the Nazis and Soviets to be wary of attacking the Ukraine in the printed word:
THOSE DELIGHTS ARE NOT FOR SKUNKS
What luxury! Bread, cows,
Chickens and a pig as well!
A bolshevik and Hitlerians
Have their mouths watering!
But let the vain appetites
Better try the fig,
If they don't want to taste
An insurgent's bullet!
Great obscure piece of World War II history!

Approximately 14-1/2" in height and 10-7/8" in width.
