ARTIFACT: Great, early WWII, circa 1942 - 1943 M4- A1 Sherman Tank Federal Machine & Welder Co. War Worker lapel pin in gilt sterling. The M4 developed from the medium-sized M3 and first entered combat with the British in North Africa during 1942 and became instrumental in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The pin is a nicely detailed M4-A1 Sherman Tank and reads: "FEDERAL" in embossed detail.

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height x 3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback.

MARKINGS: "STERLING"

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent - Overall): The lapel pin shows minor to moderate wear, nearly all the gilt details remain, overall excellent condition.
