ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930 Lindenhurst, New York badge USPO (United States Post Office) letter carrier hat badge. Lindenhurst is a village on Long Island, and has been long known for its German roots. The badge is numbered 17 and was made by N.C Walter & Sons of New York.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two loops, horizontal pin with hooking catch.

MARKINGS: N.C. WALTER & SONS NEW YORK.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old United States Post Office Department badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MGJX14 LAFEX7/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows only very light wear.
