ARTIFACT: Great circa 1960 United States Navy pilot coffee mug of VF-62. Nicknamed the Boomerangs, VF-62 was a Fighter Squadron that flew FJ-3M Fury F-8A/C/E Crusader aircrafts between establishment in 1955 and decommissioning in 1969 and served on the USS Bennington, USS Shangri-La and while there assigned to the Carrier Air Wing 8 (CAW-8). The front of the mug shows a carrier slicing through the water with two boomerangs in the sky above and a banner beneath reads: "FIGHTING SQUADRON SIXTY-TWO" and the top of the mug is named to the pilot with the nickname: "BEAVER" and shows a USN pilot wing on the reverse. The bottom reads: "STOUDEMIRE OF JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS", "A & J SHOP NAVY BLVD PENSACOLA, FLORIDA"

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/2" x 5"; 3-1/2" top diameter; 3" bottom diameter

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The mug shows minor to moderate wear mostly to top edges and bottom, nearly all the painted details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
