ARTIFACT: This is a Great Ca 1900's-1910's Alameda County California Deputy Sheriff Badge by California Novelty. This is a large Size Badge than usually seen. The Art Nouveau Lettering of DEPUTY SHERIFF really set it apart from the  usual AL.Co Badges. Exact Badge from Jim Casey's Book.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900s - 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" in height x 1-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel with painted letter.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick type pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS: "CALIFORNIA 835 BDWY" (California 835 Broadway)

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent):The badge shows excellent work of Art Nouveau Lettering, and minor to moderate wear, overall excellent condition.
