ARTIFACT: Great circa 1900 Wheeling Traction Company Conductor badge. The shield shaped, black celluloid badge reads: "CONDUCTOR 258 WHEELING TR. CO." in white detail. The reverse reads: "HEEREN BROS. & CO. PITTSBURGH, PA. W.C. PATENTED" and hand-scratched letters: "FLH, AA, AR" and the outer edge border is nickel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2" x 1-7/8".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid, brass, nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with 'C' type catch.

MARKINGS: "HEEREN BROS. & CO. PITTSBURGH, PA. W.C. PATENTED", "FLH, AA, AR"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a railroad and railway collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TAAX95 LCFEX2/16 TRVABEX01/20

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows moderate wear and some separation of the nickel and celluloid though much of the celluloid details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
