ARTIFACT: This is a great old circa 1900 Old West EXCAVATED Circle Star Deputy Sheriff Badge NSDB. The center of the slightly convex badge reads: "N. S. D. B." , most likely for the Nevada State Detective Bureau and surrounding it reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" with nice stamped embellishments. The Nevada State Detective Bureau was founded in 1904 in the famous Old West Gold Mining Town, Goldfield, Nevada. 

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT: None, pin missing.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a collection of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until identified. VEJX16 LX1/16 SLABGEX04/30/20

CONDITION: 3+ (Good+): The badge shows heavy wear and loss of nickel plating, there is separation of the pointed tips of the star to the surrounding circle, some of the plating details remain intact.
