This is a Great 1944 Full Shariff of Gates Co North Carolina Badge of Lycurgus F. Overman who served For 18 Years. Lycurgus F. OVERMAN Sheriff from 1944 until 1962. Fought against Much Bootlegging in North Carolina's Northeast Corner.

VINTAGE: 1944.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome Plated Bronze, and steel pin.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.

MARKINGS: PAT. 2066969

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows moderate duty worn condition. Overall, great patina.
