ARTIFACT: Great 1930's New Jersey State Highway Department Electric Division Attendant ID badge. The rectangle badge features a period black and white photograph with the numbers: "E1365". The ID is encased in a steel pinback badge by Whitehead & Hoag and reads: "NEW JERSEY STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT". The badge contains a paper ID that reads: "VAN DORN HOGATE", "ELEC. ATTENDANT (ED)". and displays his height, weight, sex, race, eye and hair color, date of birth, and position.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/16" x 2-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, paint, paper, photograph

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop in locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "WHITEHEAD HOAG".

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX16 LAAEX6/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows moderate wear, celluloid cover is missing does not detract, the photo and paper ID are in nice condition, much of the painted details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
