ARTIFACT: Great 1920's ??? 1930's Wakayama Prefecture dog lover's association bronze award medal. The oval medal features a dog's head in wonderful raised detail in the center, the outer edge of the medal shows a wreath of laurel leaves joined together at the bottom in a bow. The top center features Japanese kanji, as does the reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's ??? 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" x 1"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze

ATTACHMENT: Loop for attachment to a chain or rope

MARKINGS: Japanese kanji

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Japanese collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX16 LFEX3/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The award medal shows minor wear, a small spot of verdigris on reverse, overall handsome patina.
