ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1920s saddle blanket badge for the First Cleveland Cavalry (Troop A, 107th Cavalry) of the Ohio National Guard. Troop A, or the "Black Horse Troop", was started as a military group independent of the militia in 1877. The troop served in World War I as a United States Army field artillery unit, and after the war rejoined the Ohio National Guard. The badge has a great patina.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Plate backing, three screws (two with washers).

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX11 LDGEX3/12 SDFEX9/12

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some areas of light to medium wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
