ARTIFACT: Great 1900's - 1910's "Stock" Deputy Sheriff badge. The badge features a fancy, beautifully detailed eagle perched atop the badge. The slightly convex center displays a shield shaped Kansas State Seal and surrounding it reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" in stamped letters.
These badges came out of an old collection put together by a collector from Kansas, now deceased. As the bulk of his collection was Kansas and Colorado, it can be safely assumed that these badges were indeed worn in the Old West of their particular vintage, although I do not know exactly where any were used or collected.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900's - 1910's

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" x 1-3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety style pin with "C" style catch

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VABEX15 LEGEX12/15 SLHGEX07/21

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine - Very Fine): The badge shows moderate surface wear, much of the plating details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
