ARTIFACT: What we have here is a Wonderful circa 1890's Old West "Stock" Deputy Sheriff Shield Badge. The badge reads "DEPUTY SHERIFF" with great hand-stamped details - the crooked embellishment at center resembles a great old fashioned Handlebar Moustache! The reverse shows an early sheet brass saddle on the one piece pin.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in height x 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel with black painted details, and a brass pin and saddle.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical one piece pin with open catch and hand cut brass saddle.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old western and lawman police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX16 LFGEX2/16 SLIGEX12/27/24

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The badge shows very minor wear, with a couple of tiny areas of paint loss, much of the original lacquer on the obverse remains intact.
